	In October 2008 The Kapiti Coast Multi-Purpose Aquatic and Recreational Centre Trust was incorporated and later registered as a Charitable Organisation. The aim of the Trust is to develop a commercially sustainable facility that attracts and services the needs of water and field sports codes, assists the regional economy, and provides recreational and fitness opportunities for the wider communities of the Kapiti Coast. The Trust has had an ongoing positive response from the Kapiti community.
