These Sydney-siders are really coming up with the goods! I saw Belle and Sebastian last week and remembered Circle from a gig a few weeks earlier. Circle were better! They have since released a swag of new music including some great covers of Bruce Springsteen and Big Star. Great new band and great new music.

Monday Records are pleased to announce and introduce Circle's Chicken or Egg project. A completely new approach to cover material, the band's reinterpretations have been hailed incredible. There's new music and then there's genuinely new and worthy material being produced by interesting and innovative bands. Today I'm talking about new music being brought out by Sydney band Circle. They've undertaken a rather amazing project called chicken or egg where they're reinterpreting some classic tracks and almost implying that they're versions might have come first! The first song they released was September Gurls by Big Star and the second I'm on Fire by Bruce Springsteen.
